YES I nailed the brisket for our weekly Sunday get buff, bow, and BBQ bro fest. But I think the tallow might be my favorite part of it all. Beef tallow might just be the ultimate household staple! This incredible, all-natural fat is packed with uses, making it a must-have. From cooking to skincare, it’s unbeatable—perfect as a high-smoke-point cooking oil that brings rich flavor, and it’s amazing for crispy fries or flaky pastries. But it doesn’t stop there! Tallow also makes nourishing candles, long-lasting soap, and even serves as a skin moisturizer that’s rich in vitamins and healthy fats. It’s so versatile, you can even use it for tattoo aftercare or as a leather conditioner. It’s sustainable, simple, and incredibly useful—get some tallow in your home and discover the magic!
two super simple ways to make it. I have used both. Option one literally just grinding the fat as fine as you can make it and throwing it in cast-iron and then straining it to adding a quart of water and boiling it down until all of the moisture cooks out and skimming out all of the beef chunks and then straining it.
