Caiden, my son, said the other day that daddy has to drive because I don’t know how.
Another day he said I can’t touch guns only daddy shoots them.
And on another occasion he said daddy makes the money, not mommy 😒
Granted he’s 4 and doesn’t understand, but I’m not going to lie it made me sad. Sometimes I feel like everything I’ve done and accomplished is slowly fading. In high school, I was known for my basketball skills and I feel like that was a major part of my identity. Then it was being a medic in the Military; I had so much pride and felt like I was doing something important. After that it was getting my Masters Degree in healthcare. And then somehow I become known for fitness/modeling and then got into the shooting world.
Well, now I’m mainly a mom. And while to some people who don’t know my past think oh she’s “just” a mom… well let me tell you. While I may not be doing all of those things anymore, being a mom is and will always be what I’m MOST proud of. It’s my greatest accomplishment. So go ahead think that I’m “just” a mom, that’s fine with me, those achievements will never disappear and they will always be a part of my life.
